My name is LaDawnya DiaMiantay Adams

My birth date is Feb. 26, 1983.

My birth parents’ names are: Antony Brian Miantay and Barbara Ann Jones-Miantay.

I was born in Hardaway, Maddocha.

My parents died in an airplane crash when I was three. Tragedy: My Story begins tells more about her parents’ death.

I grew up in the Madkinia Orphanage because neither side of my family acknowledged that I existed.

My career goal is to be a chemical engineer.

I would also like to be a racquetball champion.

My hazel green eyes are the first things that you notice about me. My sandy brown well-kept hair droops just below my neckline. I have a quiet smile that can brighten anyone’s day. I have a natural beauty that makes me very cute, if I do say so myself.

I love to laugh and love to make other people laugh. I am very comfortable at home holding the remote and flicking through channels. I have a great capacity for learning and I like to teach others. I have been blessed with the Ministry of Helps. I can tend to be a little overzealous at times.

My story, "Living in the Shadow" is all about my life after a wealthy lady, Kourtnee Adams, adopts my in my hometown of Dorinda. The lady that adopts my is from one of the richest African-American families in Maddocha. Kourtnee is very well known as a businesswoman, her philanthropy, and as a singer.

I am use to being the center of attention. When I was at the Madkinia Orphanage, I was always getting attention because of my academic, sports, artistic, and musical achievements. After I enters Kourtnee’s World, I get lost in the background of all Kourtnee’s achievements.

Living in the Shadow,” tells of my life and times as I try to overcome living in Kourtnee’s shadow. This story is typical of anyone who has ever lived in someone shadow.
