A Week In Kourtnee's World, My Son Is Fine...

7-19-97, 4:16 AM

It was as if the same scene that happened at 2:06, was happening at 4:16. This time, Mrs. Austin asked me if I was having trouble sleeping. I was, but I didn't want to answer. Kourtnee walked into the kitchen. She looked as immaculate this time as she did the last time. I looked at her, and then at Mrs. Austin, we both smiled. Kourtnee stuck her tongue out at me. Mrs. Austin threw a kitchen towel at Kourtnee.

The towel flew by Kourtnee's head. Colt caught the towel and said, "Do you all know what time it is? Can a black man get some sleep around here?" I suddenly noticed that Colt didn't have a shirt on. He had muscles rippling all over his chest and arms. Behind me I heard Mrs. Austin say, "Colt, go put a shirt on. I know my son is fine, but you two quit gawking."
