I was in the hallway in front of Colt's room. I wasn't sure if I wanted to knock on the door or not. I was about to knock on the door when I heard Mrs. Austin's voice say, "either you are gonna knock on the door or not. Do you ever sleep through an entire night?" I turned around and looked at her. She was fully dressed.

Mrs. Austin looked as if she was on her way out of the door. She smiled at me as she walked over to me. She knocked on Colt's door. There was a grunt from the room. Mrs. Austin knocked again and said, "Boy, come to this door and see what I want." I heard another grunt. After a few seconds, the door opened. "Yes, Mame," Colt said in between the crack of the door. "LaDawnya wants you," Mrs. Austin said before she walked off towards the kitchen.

I was standing in the front of Colt's door starring at two white spots in a black hole. I was half tempted to scream Kourtnee's name. Colt grunted, "What do you want?" I stared at those two white spots. "LaDawnya," the voice screamed at me. I stepped backwards, almost falling over. The door opened up, a long dark brown arm reached out as if it was going to grab me. I screamed Kourtnee's name. She stepped into the hallway and exclaimed, "What are you screaming for?" I starred at Colt who was standing in the hallway, no shirt, and all. He looked at Kourtnee, "Mama said she wanted something. She won't tell me what she wants." Kourtnee asked me, "What is wrong with you?" I looked at her and then at Colt before I said, "He scared me." Colt slapped his hand to his forehead and mumbled as he went back into his room. I walked back into the room with Kourtnee. Kourtnee hugged and said, "He is kinda scary looking in the morning, don't worry about it." I smiled an evil smile. As if she could read my mind, "I told you that was none of your business, nosey-tailed girl." She pushed me away from her. I fell on the bed laughing.
