Original Entry Date: 08.13.02 Weekend at Kourtnee's Original Date: 4-11-97 Kourtnee picked me up from the orphanage at 6:00 PM. I was excited, nervous, and
nausea. I wondered what was in store for me this weekend. We had finally reached Ms. Adams house after the long drive. It was a very large and
modest house. The exterior was blue and white. Ms. Adams showed me around the house. I
went inside and the interior was filled with paintings and other decorations. The living
room looked like a museum. I thought to myself, "If I break anything, I may just be
in trouble." Her house was huge. You could tell that someone with money lived in the house. The
house had nine bedrooms, 6 and half bathrooms, and three living rooms. (One of the living
rooms was a TV room, one was a family room, and the other was a formal living room.) The first floor was awesome. It contained four bedrooms. It also had three and a half
bathrooms. The kitchen was nice. It had all of the amenities that any kitchen needed.
There was a living room, a game room, a family room, a dining room, a laundry room, a
deck, and several closets. I got a peek into Ms. Adams' bedroom. It was almost a house by itself. There was an
entry way with a door that lead to Kourtnee's sanctuary. She had three rooms in her
sanctuary. The first room in the hallway after you entered was her home office. Her
bedroom was adjacent to her office. There was a doorway in her office that lead directly
to her bedroom or you could use the front door to her office and walk in the hallway to
get to her bedroom. Her bathroom was adjacent to her bedroom. You could either use the
connecting door to get to the bathroom or walk out the front door of her bedroom and walk
through the front door of her room. All she needed was a kitchen and she would only have
to come out of her room to leave the house. The game room contained a TV, a pool table, and a few more amenities. I went upstairs. It was as grand as downstairs. From the railing upstairs, you could
look down and see the downstairs area. There were 5 bedrooms on the 2nd level. There were
3 bathrooms on this floor. There was a nook, a study, a kitchenette, stocked full of food,
a fitness room, a TV room, that contained a baby grand piano, and a deck that looked out
over the back yard. Ms. Adams led me to what would eventually be my room, the master bedroom on that floor.
It was much bigger than the room I had at the orphanage. The room was painted purple and
white with matching furniture that was also purple and white. I thought a grape had
exploded in the room. There were a few stuffed animals scattered around the room. There
were rabbits, dogs, bears, and a whole assortment of other types of animals. There was
also a 19-inch screen television on a table. Also on the table there was a VCR and a
stereo/CD player. All three remote controls were sitting on top of the television. I was
impressed. Kourtnee came in the room and told me that at 7:30 PM we were going to dinner at a
restaurant called Torrez. Torrez was a Mexican restaurant. It was only 5:23 PM then, so I
had time to kill. I watched television, watched some videocassettes, and listened to some music. I played
Nintendo® in the game room. I played pool. I ran
through the house a couple of times. At 6:00 PM, I took a bath and got ready to go to
dinner. The bathroom was large. Before you got to the tub, there was a double sink and a
wall length mirror. The bathroom also had a whirlpool styled tub. After I finished
bathing, I got dressed and went into the living room to wait for Kourtnee. We ate a Torrez. It was one of the best Mexican restaurants' in Maddocha. After we finished eating, we went to see
a play called "Azmessa." It was a play about the struggle of men and women to
become better understanding of one another or something. I did not pay much attention to
the play. It was pretty late when we got back to the house, so I went straight to bed.
Kourtnee came and told me good night. On Sunday, we just slept in, although Kourtnee normally went to church. |
